Due to cancellation of our event Zero Emissions Ideas Fest we are finding another way to celebrate National Science Week in 2021. Anglesea Community House will be providing the opportunity for the community to participate in our interactive art piece, a bottle top mural, to raise awareness around endangered species in the Surfcoast Shire. You can also get involved in our Science Week Treasure Hunt Competition for the chance to win a prize! Explore Anglesea on foot or bike on your own or with your family to learn more about how climate change impacts our community and some of the ways local community groups and organisations are working to mitigate this.
If you would like to take part in this community art piece or participate in our local treasure hunt competition call in at the Community House between the 16th-20th of August between 9-3pm and get hammering to be part of our Hoodie mural.
Anglesea Community House will also work with our early childhood service and playgroup to provide take home “Science Experiment” packages that create a space for discussion with kids and families on the impact of climate change locally and globally. Come on down to playgroup Thursday mornings from 9.30-11.30am and join in!
ACH will be a pick up and drop off point for Zero Emission Surf Coast Ideas Postcards, a great way for people to have their say and get involved in a local community led plan towards zero emissions. For any more information please call the community house on 5263 2116. #Scienceweek
