THIS ROLE IS RESPONSIBLE FOR
• Development of content and layout for four editions of the 40- page Anglesea Community House (ACH) publication NewsAngle each year
• Management of regular meetings with editorial committee and volunteer writers group
• Development of content plan for each issue and production schedule in conjunction with ACH coordinators
• Communication with regular contributors and community groups to collate relevant and interesting content for each edition
• Management of advertisers database to ensure available advertising space is fully allocated
• Development and encouragement of strong, positive, trusting working relationships with all NewsAngle stakeholders, (volunteer writers, ACH coordinators, community members, volunteer proof readers, Editorial Committee, advertisers)
• Use of social media to promote NewsAngle and source news
• Delivery of edited/proofed document to printers by established deadline
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE YOU WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
• Formal qualifications and/or significant work experience in publishing, editing, writing or other relevant discipline
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative, team approach
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite Programs and Teams etc.
• Proficiency with Affinity Publisher, InDesign or similar program
• Demonstrated ability to write, edit and proofread articles, negotiate with advertisers and liaise with key stakeholders
• Experience working with volunteers

This is a paid contract position budgeted at around 60 hours per edition.
